It is said that there is a child in every body's mind. People at grown up age stay in this hall. Extreme mental and physical pressure from day to day research activities makes the life of a research scholar dull and gloomy. He is transformed into a virtual mechanized robot. But nothing puts a bar on the mind of a BCRite to freak out when we celebrate our hall day--"SPANDAN". The name of the hall day of B C Roy hall itself speaks out of the freakiness; dictates the total vibrant nature of the submissive child of a aging sole of a research scholar.

It is celebrated on 3rd March. Total hall is decorated with lights and handicrafts. We enjoy one small cultural programme followed by a grand dinner. We are fortunate to have our friends from other halls and many eminent professors and personalities who come to the hall as invitees. It takes lot of time and brain storming to plan and chock out different necessary activities of SPANDAN just to shape it as bench work. Indeed it has become an unique bench work.  We, the BCRites, are from different parts of India with varied dialects and dissimilar views. But "SPANDAN" leaves all of us under one umbrella which can be expressed as "FRIENDSHIP".
